Service Fees
I would like to start by saying that I truly believe that you have purchased the finest pet containment equipment available... congratulations! Rarely, but occasionally a problem arises, and if a problem does arise, repairs may be required. The good news is that our amazing Dog Guard equipment warranty will, most of the time, result in replacement or repair of your equipment at no charge to you for the equipment! Don't run over your receiver with your car though... that's not covered (yes, it does happen). If you are planting a tree, aerating your lawn, edging your sidewalk, or even putting in a swimming pool, please use care around your Dog Guard wire. Service fees and policies that are listed below are accurate as of 1/1/07 and are subject to change without notice.
Labor: $60.00/hr. with a one hour minimum and billed in 1/4 hour increments thereafter.
Marking: Marking your wire is the only service that is subject to discounted labor fees ($30.00/hr. with a one hour minimum and billed in 1/4 hour increments thereafter plus marking flags and paint) as long as you give us a minimum of three full business days notice prior to needing the location done. Our reason for this? Marking your wire is a preventive measure to help you to avoid damage to your wire. Marking of your wire is not what we consider to be an urgent service and can be scheduled in when we are in your area. If you cut your wire and the dog gets out, this is an urgent situation and we need to respond as quickly as possible.
Materials: Any materials used in a repair will be billed to the customer at the current set rate per item.
Equipment Use Fees: Use of certain equipment will be billed out on a scheduled fee rate. (Examples: Use of a diamond blade to cut through concrete will be billed per foot of the cut length; Use of a rotary hammer bit to drill through brick or concrete will be billed on a per hole basis, etc.)
Shipping/Bench Fees: Any shipping fees or bench fees charged to us for replacement, inspection, or repair of your equipment will be passed on to you.
Travel: Depending on your location, per mile travel rates may apply.
Billing and Payments: We ask that you pay your service bill promptly (at the time of service preferably). If any invoice goes past 30 days, you will be charged an additional 1.5%/mo. (18%/yr.) compounded monthly, plus processing fees for re-billing (office supplies, postage, labor, etc.). At our discretion, any outstanding bill that goes past 30 days is subject to action, including but not limited to collection proceedings, liens, and legal action.
Returned Checks: Any payment made that results in a returned check may subject the customer to all bank fees involved plus a $30.00 "bad check" fee.
* I hope that you understand that the above information is part of doing business. I feel that we have the best customers around and we have really had very few negative experiences in this business. With that said, I feel that it is best to make this information available to all customers so that there is no confusion in the unfortunate event that these situations would occur.
