Bette and I would like to express our complete satisfaction with Jeff and the fence system that he installed for us. Before we got our Dog Guard system, we had a couple of instances when (Rascal), our yorkie, ran into the highway after a bird and we just stood speechless. We were a little apprehensive at first about our confidence in the fence but were reassured that it would work when we talked with Jeff.
After a full year we have had one instance (while learning the Dog Guard system) when Rascal crossed the fence. Now that he is fully trained, once in a while he will venture a little too close to the boundary and get a reminder of its existence and return immediately to our yard and stay back a few feet from it afterwards.
...Jeff has reassured us that he will handle any problem we may have if one presents itself. Thank you again Jeff and Dog Guard for your products and fine service!

Last year I contacted Jeff just to get ideas about Pet Fencing. Within a week I had a packet of information, a DVD and a wire sample. He came highly recommended by another family here.
If you are not a believer that this could work for your pet.....feel free to contact me!! I have 2 dogs; one a very, very, very headstrong Shit-zu. He used to chase anything that moved. He's been very close to killing rabbits and squirrels. He's even nipped at guests coming for a visit. My other dog is a small terrier-mix. He is 18 years old, deaf and mostly blind. I was sure there would be no way this could work for our situation. A bit skeptical and not sure if we should put the money into a system that may not work, Jeff assured us this would not be a problem. So, we went for it!
Jeff came out three times to work with us and the dogs after the installation. Within a month both dogs were running free around the yard. It only took a few times of going over "the line" to teach them where to stay. Our area is thick with deer, squirrels and golfers! My shit-zu has gone from chasing them down to sitting there looking at them. I can't believe it! My terrier is an exceptional story. He has trained himself, mostly through smell and boundaries just where he can go. He will even get up to 3 feet from "the line".
We've had this system for a year, my dogs are so much happier since we put this fence in and so are we. It's nice to sit out in the yard with the whole family and not have a single worry! Thanks to Jeff for the exceptional customer service and a product that really works!

We could not be more satisfied with our new Dog Guard Pet Fencing and more appreciative of the time Jeff spent with us and our dog Maverick. For years Maverick was limited in his freedom because of a desire to run away when there was an opening - whether it be a gate in the backyard or even the front door. Prior to having the Dog Guard installed, Maverick escaped at least a dozen times in the past 2-3 years. Luckily we were able to find him each and every time (he certainly won't miss a meal).
The installation of our Dog Guard made Maverick even more of a family member than before. We no longer need to keep him in a fenced yard or kennel as he is the "master of his new domain." Training was a little harder than we initially thought, but everyday Maverick progressed and in a short period of time we were able to open any door in the house and let him out with confidence that he would not leave the yard. It was Jeff's willingness, creativity and persistence that helped Maverick overcome his initial resistance to the Dog Guard. While Jeff deserves the majority of the credit, both Molly and Cocoa (Jeff's dogs) were a key factor in helping to train Maverick. It was truly a team effort.
The Dog Guard creates an equal balance between you and your pet because both parties are able to enjoy the freedom it provides.

Jeff Hansen and Dog Guard, were recommended to us by some friends when we first moved into the area. We have 2 dogs. A rotti/mix and a retriever/lab mix. Both of them have tons of energy and LOVE playing with other dogs. I was a bit skeptical at first that an invisible fence would actually keep them in our yard, but liked the idea of having an open area. The installation and training was top-notch; but my testimony starts after all of that.
We discovered that Kodiak, our 10-month old lab/retriever, is a little thick skinned. He let himself get zapped a few times and discovered that it wasn’t too bad, so he wandered out. I called Jeff and he came right over. First he tested Kodiak’s collar to make sure that it was working and then he worked with different settings until Kodiak realized, ‘hey, this guy’s really serious’. All was well, until the boy scouts came to sell popcorn. Kodiak ran right through the perimeter without even thinking about it. I called Jeff again, and he came out right away and retested the collar. We adjusted his setting again, and Jeff worked personally with Kodiak until he ‘got it’.
We haven’t had a problem since and I was very impressed with the customer service that I received to resolve the issue of the thick-skinned dog. Well, being a puppy, Kodiak has also chewed a couple of the collars up. Thanks goodness we got free replacements! Dog Guard’s invisible fence was money well spent, backed up by superior customer service!

We just want to express to you how happy we are with our new Dog Guard system. We have seen a night and day difference in the behavior of our dogs. The bark less, they tend not to jump on us and they are so much more pleasant to be around. Likewise, we no longer have to worry about the dogs running off or even jumping on our guests. We are thrilled not to see all of that pent up energy when we come home from work every night. We now come home to happy, but mellow dogs. I was surprised at how easy you made the training. Your felxible schedule made it easy for us to get our dogs trained in no time at all. We were able to leave our dogs unattended in less than two weeks! Thanks again, Jeff for providing such a great service.
